Coronavirus: 8th, 9th deaths reported in Darke County

The first seven deaths were linked to an outbreak at a nursing home, Greenville Health and Rehabilitation, the Darke County General Health District said.

We are working to confirm whether the eighth and ninth deaths also are associated with that outbreak. They are both probable COVID-19 cases, but were reported following new guidelines from the Ohio Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

There are 49 total cases in Darke County, including 47 confirmed and two probable, with seven hospitalizations, the health department posted on social media.
