Coronavirus: Kroger Health offers drive-thru test site at Troy Hospital

Kettering Health Network’s new Troy hospital is about to open and the first patient will be seen June 18. KAITLIN SCHROEDER

Kroger Health will offer a drive-thru COVID-19 test site next week at Troy Hospital.

Thanks to the partnership with Kettering Health Network, the tests will be free for patients at the new testing site in the parking lot of the hospital at 600 W. Main St. in Troy.

Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Community members must register at http://krogerhealth.com/covidtesting.

People requesting a test will use a virtual screening tool based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines to see if they are eligible. Those who are eligible for the testing are based on CDC, state and local government recommendations.

Test results are expected within approximately 48 hours and will be communicated by Kroger Health. The testing site at the Troy Hospital campus will handle approximately 250 tests per day.
