Investigation under way into Kiser Street house fire

Firefighters are investigating what caused a fire at a Kiser Street duplex Friday morning.

One side of the house was fully involved when firefighter arrived on the scene.

A stack of tires outside the back of the home was responsible for a cloud of black smoke, according to firefighters.

No one was injured in the fire.

Firefighters responded to a house fire reported just before 10 a.m. in the 100 block of Kiser Street, near North Keowee Street.

First crews dispatched reported seeing a large column of black smoke before making it to the scene, according to emergency scanner traffic.
