Investigation begins into cause of fire in abandoned house in Greenville

Crews will be trying to establish the cause of a large fire in a house described as abandoned in the 6500 block of New Madison-Coletown Road in Greenville, Darke County.

Crews were dispatched just before 7:30 p.m. Crews from Ansonia and other nearby jurisdictions have been dispatched as mutual aid.

We're hearing from Darke County fire dispatch that the house is abandoned. We're working to confirm that.

There were reports of heavy flames at the rear of the house. There are no reports of any injury.
