CSX train stopped in Troy for 'near miss'

A CSX train briefly stopped in Troy after its conductor reported the train may have struck a pedestrian.

The incident was reported at 10:35 p.m. and was cleared at 11:15 p.m. after nothing was found, according to Miami County dispatchers.

CSX crew members and Troy paramedics were searching the area near the railroad tracks at West and Union streets. The engineer said it was likely a "near miss" of striking a person.

Paramedics walked the area one more time before heading back to the fire station.
