Police took to social media on Thursday to thank an anonymous McDonald’s customer who helped to make sure a homeless man had a meal to eat.

A Riverside police officer was in line at a McDonald’s drive-through buying food for the homeless man when she realized she forgot her wallet, the department posted on their Facebook account.

However, another customer in line saw what was happening and bought the food.

Riverside police also provided further assistance to the homeless man to help him seek shelter, according to the social media post.
