Once a year, the museum collaborates with the Dayton Science Festival for a community wide celebration of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) learning.

The STEM Expo in the Museum’s Main Exhibit Hall (closes at 3 p.m.) will feature museum educators and representatives from over 20 community partners.

“The Dayton Science Festival is a celebration of STEM in the Miami Valley!” Boonshoft Museum Vice President of Education Dawn Kirchner said in a news release. “It is a way to expose the next generation to the many ways they could pursue a STEM-based career while keeping their talents in Dayton.”

While at the museum visitors can also wander through the "Explorers" exhibit. Food vendors Mommaz Boyz will be at the museum during the event.
