Man arrested in Germantown Street deadly shooting

Police arrested a man early Friday morning in connection with a deadly Germantown Street shooting.

Kennar Jazzmin Woods, 34, was identified as a person of interest and arrested around 6:20 a.m., according to Dayton police.

Woods was taken into custody on murder, tampering with evidence and having weapons while under disability.

The case will be presented to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of formal charges, said police.

The shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. One person died at the scene and a second person was taken to an area hospital, said police.

Woods is being held in the Montgomery County Jail.
