The right southbound lane has been closed daily on South Detroit Street this week as city public works crews replace water lines that connect downtown buildings to the main water line.

It is a project of the Ohio Department of Transportation. Lee said the plans are to repave streets, install bicycle paths and change the traffic-signal configuration. That work is expected to start soon and will continue for the next several months.
