Hamilton man identified as victim in fatal Butler County crash

UPDATE @ 11:45 a.m.

The Butler County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of the man killed in a crash in the 6200 block of Hursh Road Tuesday night.

Eric Daniel Richmond, 24, of Hamilton, died at the scene of multiple traumatic injuries, according to the release.

The crash remains under investigation.

UPDATE @ 9:45 a.m.

The Butler County Sheriff’s office continues to investigate a fatal traffic accident that happened Tuesday night.

Deputies said today that a car was traveling northbound on Hursh Road when the driver lost control and went off the road. The car rolled several times, and one of four people was ejected.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, another was flown to Miami Valley Hospital and two people were taken to Atrium Medical Center.

Names are being withheld pending family notification.

A person has died following a single-car crash on Hursh Road in Madison Twp. Tuesday night, according to our crew at the scene.

Our crew reports a traffic reconstruction team is conducting an investigation at the scene.

We are working to learn how many people were injured as well as the circumstances that led to the crash.

One person has been flown to Miami Valley Hospital from the scene of a crash in Butler County Tuesday night.

Crews were dispatched to the crash in the 6300 block of Hursh Road around 7:45 p.m.

Dispatchers said CareFlight was called to the single-car crash and took the driver from the scene.

Deputies are currently responding to the crash, according to dispatchers, and it is unknown how many people are injured.
