The first two men who came through the door had green hair and customers came wearing tall Leprechaun hats and striped socks. They don’t serve green beer — “that’s for UD,” she said, but they have Guinness and other “excellent beer on tap,” The Irish Car Bomb is a perennial favorite, Kramer said. You take a half pint of Guinness and add a half shot of Jameson Irish Whiskey and a half shot of Bailey’s Irish Cream to it. Then you drink the whole 7-to-8 ounces of Guinness immediately. “

Other big bashes will take place at numerous bars around town, including Flanagan’s Pub, 101 E. Stewart St., whose St. PatROCKS Day opens at 9 a.m.
