Bruner was a 2019 graduate of Tri-Village High School, our partners at the Early Bird Newspaper said.

He was driving a 2012 Dodge 5500 pickup truck north on state Route 128 when he crossed the double yellow center line at a curve and was struck head-on by a 1986 Peterbilt tractor semi-trailer operated by Richard Reilmann, 43, of Sunman, Indiana, deputies said.

Reilmann was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was being treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Bruner was not wearing a seat belt, and deputies said that speed, alcohol or drugs were not believed to be factors in the crash that remains under investigation.
