Fairbrook Elementary School's principal promised to sleep on the roof of the school if $12,000 was raised.
The goal was met and surpassed -- students raised $14,000. The money will go to PTO-sponsored events such as trips to COSI, tutors, musicals and more.
Principal Joell Mangan camped out on the roof Tuesday into Wednesday morning.
Students raised money through pledges supporting their participation in the Fairbrook Foxtrot -- an obstacle course to highlight the benefits of exercise.
