Englewood Festival returns for 43rd year

The 43rd annual Englewood Festival — with a parade, live music and a cruise-in — will take place Saturday and Sunday at Centennial Park.

Festivities begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Road closures begin at 7 a.m.

Saturday events include a 5K run, followed by a parade beginning at Union Blvd. and Wenger Rd. The parade will end at Centennial Park.

Following the parade, the festival officially opens with artist’s booths, community and civic displays and food.

Saturday will also include live music from Lauren Kelly at 11 a.m., Northmont High School Marching Band at noon, DeBray Music at 1:30 p.m., and Razzamatazz and Jazz at 5 p.m.

The event continues Sunday with a cruise-in from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and vendors open at 11 a.m. Live music also returns with Megan Osman at 11 a.m., Englewood Civic Band at 1 p.m. and Systems Go at 3 p.m.

Parking and admission to the festival is free. Lawn chairs are permitted.
