A Fairborn motorist suffered only minor injuries Monday night after he went off the side of the roadway, struck a curb and went airborne into a wooded area.

Justin Brandon Lee Apple, 28, was driving his 2011 BMW north on Ohio 235 when he failed to negotiate a slight left curve just before U.S. 40, according to the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Apple’s vehicle rolled as many as eight times, according to witnesses, but Apple was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton to be treated for minor injuries.

A second vehicle was hit by debris, but that driver was not hurt, according to the patrol.

Troopers reported they suspect that high speed and alcohol contributed to the crash, which remains under investigation.
