Fairborn could take cut of Nutter Center ticket profits

The city of Fairborn could soon get a cut of the profits from non-university events at the Nutter Center.

The city would take 5% of money made on tickets that are over $20.

Wright State University-affiliated events, like Wright State basketball games, would be exempt from this, City Manager Rob Anderson said.

The city hopes to generate $150,000 to $240,000 annually from the admissions fee to offset infrastructure costs.

There will be a public hearing on the ordinance on Dec. 2. in Fairborn City Council chambers, 44 W. Hebble Ave.

There are currently 66 other cities in Ohio that levy this kind of fee on admissions.
