He’s a social studies teacher in the Beavercreek City Schools and has taught 9th-grade world studies at Beavercreek High School since 2002.
In addition to his coaching duties, Miller will be teaching social studies at Fairmont, according to the district. He holds a bachelor’s in social studies education and a master’s in history from Wright State University.
Fairmont Athletic Director Chris Weaver, in a prepared statement released tonight along with the announcement of Miller’s hiring, said he and the selection committee conducted an extensive application and interviewing process to identify the individual who could best lead the Fairmont Firebird Football Program to success.
“I’m thrilled Coach Miller is now a Firebird,” Weaver said. “Throughout our application and interview process it became very clear that Coach Miller’s philosophy, vision, and goals were a perfect match for our program.”
Miller will begin his coaching duties immediately and will be a member of the teaching staff at Fairmont beginning with the 2016-17 school year.
