A baby fair is being hosted from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at Southview Medical Center, at 1997 Miamisburg Centerville Rd.
Among the activities planned, police officers will inspect car seats for free.
Also at the baby fair, expecting mothers can learn what they need to know to help prepare. They can tour Southview’s maternity unit, visit retail booths, talk to baby doctors and sign up for childbirth classes.
The fair also features food, prizes and entertainment including balloon artists and face painters.
Additionally, dads can test their skills at maneuvering a baby stroller in the Dads Derby at 3 p.m. Contestants will push a stroller with a baby doll inside through a timed obstacle course of four stations, where they will have to: change the doll’s diaper; pack the bag for the hospital; place the doll in the car seat; and drink milk from the baby bottle.
