Funeral services set for Centerville pilot, wife suspected of drug OD

UPDATE @ 2:45 p.m.

A neighbor who lives on East Von Dette Circle near the Halyes said she and others were shocked by the deaths of the couple.

“I said this is not right,” said Naree Vanetten of watching the bodies of Brian and Courtney Halye being removed from their home.

Vanetten said she never suspected the couple was involved with drugs until the coroner said it appears they died of overdoses.

“I never believed it was going to happen to him. He looked normal, healthy,” she said. “But you know drugs can happen anywhere.”
