Gang leader arrested in connection with shooting

HARRISON TWP. — Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man — characterized by the sheriff as the leader of a street gang — in connection with a Tuesday night shooting in the 600 block of Daleview Avenue.

Dorian Lloyd “D-Luke” Lucas, 21, was arrested Wednesday on an outstanding heroin possession warrant, Sheriff Phil Plummer said. He also was questioned by Dayton homicide detectives in connection with a city homicide.

“He has an extensive juvenile record and is one of the leaders of the Dayton View Hustlers,” Plummer said. “He is one of the more violent guys on the streets.”

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the 19-year-old victim answered the door around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, and an argument ensued with Lucas. At some point, Lucas drew a weapon and fired several shots, hitting the victim in the arm and a neighboring house, Plummer said.

The victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to deputies.

Plummer said the argument between the victim and Lucas was over a woman.
