Typically, residents get their water bills monthly but the previous months' water usage was not billed because the new program had "technical difficulties which led to a delay in the issuance of bills," according to a statement from the county.

The portion of the bill covering June is based off of meter readings obtained in May, but the portion of the bill covering the months of July and August are based on estimated usage.

According to the county, penalty fees for late payments were waived for the current bill and disconnection notices for delinquent balances of $80 or more will not be sent out for August and September.
