“Lock 27 Brewing is taking all necessary precautions and following all guidelines handed down by the state of Ohio, the Ohio Department of Health and the CDC to continue to provide our community with our quality products,” Lock 27 owners said Wednesday in a release. “We will be here for you with continued services of curbside takeout, as well as delivery service for both the city of Dayton and Centerville during this time.”
Lock 27 founder, head brewer and CEO Steve Barnhart said the brewery is “committed to helping our great state flatten the curve while providing a sense of community in these times of social distancing and self-isolation.”
Likewise, Warped Wing Brewing Company has adopted a contact-free curbside carryout and home delivery service of its full food menu and bottled and canned beer and kegs, co-founder Nick Bowman told this news outlet Wednesday afternoon between home deliveries.
“We’re doing all this in a safe manner,” Bowman said.
In fact, Warped Wing on Wednesday released a new beer in cans, Magic Apricot Gose. It also is making available to customers some “library beers” from its stash of barrel-aged and dark beers.
Downtown Dayton’s other larger-scale craft brewery, Dayton Beer Company, is not offering carryout of its food menu, in part because of a construction project and expansion at the brewery related to the addition of a distillery, according to founder Peter Hilgeman. Customers seeking packaged beers can call or make an appointment via DBC’s social media platforms between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Hilgeman said.
The Lock 27 Dayton gastropub at 329 E. First St. in Dayton is open for delivery and carryout from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Delivery is limited to within five miles from each Lock 27 Gastropub. The Lock 27 Centerville Gastropub at 1035 S. Main St. also is offering the same services at the same hours as the downtown Dayton location. At Warped Wing, curbside carryout is available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Orders can be placed and paid for by phone, and will be delivered to a customer's vehicle. ID is required.
