The Dayton Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 100 block of Kastner ave. in Dayton.
The fire started shortly after 3:30 am. Officials say the front room on the first floor of the house was engulfed in flames when the arrived on the scene.
Fire fighters were able to contain the fire to the first floor, but say rooms on the second floor of the house were damaged due to smoke.
The house was not occupied at the time of the fire.
The owners from the home say they suspect a woman who they recently evicted from the home started the fire.
They say they had numerous problems with her in the past and she threatened to burn down the house before.
Fire fighters say the fire is still under investigation and did not confirm the cause of the fire.
