More than 1,000 without power after high winds fell trees, branches

High winds have caused trees to topple and branches to fall, knocking down utility poles and power lines across the area.

At one point, more than 1,800 Dayton Power & Light customers were without power, with 1,000 of those in Montgomery County alone.

In Englewood, more than 700 outages were reported where a large tree fell on Valleyview Drive and another was reported on Dublin Avenue, according to police dispatch.

Miami County: 318

Montgomery County: 268

Warren County: 105

Darke County: 7

Greene County: 297

Preble County: 4

Logan County: 3

Clinton County: 1

Duke Energy reports 12 customers without power in Butler County;

Ohio Edison reports 15 customers affected in Clark County.
