Husband, wife remain jailed in Miami County cellphone theft case

A Fairborn husband and wife remain in the Miami County Jail, each on a $10,000 cash only bond, on charges stemming from the theft of cellphones on New Year’s Day.

Garrett Crank, 59, is charged with misdemeanor theft. He is due in court next for a pretrial hearing, according to the online jail record.

His wife Christina, 37, was arraigned Thursday on a misdemeanor charge of complicity to theft.

Troy police said the duo stole cellphones from the Meijer in Troy on New Year’s Day.

The police incident report filed with the case indicates that the couple then sold the phones in a shopping center parking lot in Huber Heights.

Each was arraigned by video Thursday before Magistrate Gary Zuhl.
