Affected by the tornadoes: Check your credit reports

Koller said it’s important for survivors to notify any creditors, including mortgage lenders, of any address changes following any tornado damage.  Failure to do so could lead to people forgetting to make payments or being late.

“It’s causing some late pays, things like that, which can definitely affect scores negatively,” Koller said. “Make sure you call all of your creditors so they know where you’re at.”
