1 injured in rear-end collision on I-75 S in Franklin

UPDATE @ 7:40 p.m.

We’re now told there is one reported minor injury from a rear-end collision on I-75 South in Franklin. The right lane continues to be blocked.

According to the Ohio Highway Patrol trooper on scene, a semitrailer rear-ended a Mitsubishi Galant sedan and sent it into a small ravine off the right side of the interstate, where it flipped and came to rest on its top.

The driver of the car will be cited for improper lane change, the trooper said. That man was taken to a hospital for observation. The driver of the semi was not injured.

UPDATE @ 7 p.m.

No injuries were reported in a crash tonight between a car and semi in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 near Pennyroyal Road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Lebanon Post.

The crash was reported around 6:45 p.m.

The car flipped, but the driver was walking around, according to initial reports.
