Pizza, pasta restaurant open for carryout/delivery in Springboro

As of Thursday March 26, Springboro has a new carryout and delivery restaurant option in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic that has shuttered restaurant dining rooms across the state.

Roma’s Pizza & Pasta at 282 W. Central Ave. will host a ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m. and a grand opening  throughout the day until it closes at 9 p.m. tonight.

The restaurant’s hours going forward are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, closed Sunday.

The new Italian restaurant is located in a storefront at 282 W. Central Ave. that formerly housed Pizza-N-Motion, which shut down in January. Its founder and owner, Labinot Troni, has worked at several other Italian restaurants in the region, including most recently Troni’s Italian Restaurant in Kettering, which is operated by his brother Nick.

Roma’s menu includes pizza, stromboli and calzones, as well as pasta dishes such as lasagna, stuffed shells, spaghetti, manicotti and other Italian specialties. Salads, sub sandwiches and desserts also are available.

A locally owned and independent pizza restaurant, Roma’s Pizza & Pasta, is in the works in Springboro, and its founder is from a family that owns and operates other Italian restaurants in the region.

The new restaurant is located in a storefront at 282 W. Central Ave. that formerly housed Pizza-N-Motion, which shut down in January. Its founder and owner, Labinot Troni, has worked at several other Italian restaurants in the region, including most recently Troni’s Italian Restaurant in Kettering, which is operated by his brother Nick.

Roma’s Pizza & Pasta has three small tables but will be primarily a carryout and delivery operation, Troni said. Its menu will include pizza, stromboli and calzones, as well as pasta dishes such as lasagna, vegetable lasagna, stuffed shells, spaghetti, manicotti and other Italian specialties.

Sauces and other ingredients will be made in-house, Troni said.

Initially, the restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner six days a week, closed  Sunday, but those hours may change to meet customer preferences, Troni said.

The restaurant founder said build-out is underway, and he expects to open Roma’s Pizza & Pasta as early as next month.
