A small fire on a flat-top range in the kitchen of Warped Wing Brewing Company this morning was quickly extinguished by employees but has knocked out the brewery’s food service for a few days, possibly until next week, Warped Wing co-founder and head brewer John Haggerty said this morning, Wednesday April 17.
No one was injured. The brewery’s beer-making operations were not affected, and its tap room is scheduled to open as usual today at 5 p.m., Haggerty said.
The cause of the fire is not known, said Haggerty, who put the fire out himself with a fire extinguisher. It happened shortly after an employee turned the range on to pre-heat it, the head brewer said.
Warped Wing is devising a work-around for food that may include local food trucks and/or allowing patrons to bring food in from nearby restaurants and sandwich shops, Haggerty said.
