Liquor permit approved for Chipotle

A liquor permit for a Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurant has been approved for Austin Landing.

Miami Twp. trustees this week approved the liquor permit, which the restaurant chain applied to the state for a future location on Innovation Drive in Austin Landing.

Chipotle has not yet submitted plans for a restaurant at the site off Interstate 75 and the Austin Boulevard interchange, according to Miami Twp. officials.

Chipotle does not comment on possible restaurant locations until a leased has been signed, said Danielle Winslow, a company spokeswoman. NICK BLIZZARD
