Maintenance workers were brought in Monday to assist with pumping additional heat into the second floor of the older section of the jailhouse, said Christine Ton, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.
Inmates have been offered additional clothing and blankets to keep warm while the issue is addressed, Ton said.
The heat system is working, however Ton said the cold temperatures we’ve had in recent days has stressed the system.
