A Michigan truck driver is accused of hitting his dog with a semi truck and abandoning it in Piqua after the dog relieved itself on the truck’s seat.
Seth Fletcher, 27, appeared in a Miami County court today for abandoning animals and prohibitions concerning companion animals charges.
Judge Samuel Huffman set a cash bond at $1,000.
Fletcher reportedly left the dog, Chapo, at a rest area on Interstate 75 in April.
He also is accused of hitting the dog with a tree limb.
Chapo is being held in the Miami County Animal Shelter as evidence.
Fletcher turned himself in Monday for outstanding warrants related to the charges.
