Man indicted in overdose death of Springfield woman

A man has been indicted on charges connected with the overdose death of a Springfield woman.

Gerald Cupp, 46, has been charged in Clark County Common Pleas Court with involuntary manslaughter. Cupp is accused of buying drugs for Ashley Parr. Parr then overdosed on the drugs, court documents say.

Cupp said in an interview with the Springfield News-Sun that he didn't buy the drugs and is innocent of the charges.

“They have it all backward,” Cupp told the News-Sun.
