A man faces up to 20 years in prison for using the social media app Kik to receive and distribute child porn files from others, according to federal court records.

Robert L. Hudson, 35, of Dayton, agreed to plead guilty to a felony charge of knowingly receiving and attempting to receive child pornography.

Hudson admitted to creating a Kik account in 2016 using the name “starlesdreamer” and used the account in October 2018 to receive nude photos of a boy and girl, a statement of facts filed with the plea last week read.

He also used the account to communicate with others about the sexual exploitation of children, including one instance where Hudson had a conversation with another user about sexual abuse involving a 6-month-old boy, according to the court records.

Hudson also had a conversation with a Kik user asking for advice on how to find and lure children.

At least 15 images of child porn were found on Hudson’s cellphone when law enforcement seized it in January 2019.

Hudson is scheduled for sentencing in U.S. District Court June 5.

Hudson also has a pending case in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court, where he faces charges of gross sexual imposition and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.
