Masked man attacks man and woman on street

A man wearing a black ski mask and red hooded sweatshirt reportedly assaulted and robbed a man and woman who told police they were on their way to a Dayton Walgreens Friday night.

Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Wyoming Avenue around 9 p.m. According to a police report obtained Saturday, the suspect grabbed the 24-year-old woman and threw her to the ground. The man she was with, who was 37 years old, pulled the man off the woman and a fight ensued. The man suffered a knot on his forehead and abrasions to his right hand. The woman complained of back and head pains.

The suspect made off with each person’s wallet.

Police located a man who matched a description of the suspect provided to police. The victims, however, were not able to positively identify the man as the same suspect who robbed them.

The investigation is ongoing.
