Summer lunch program begins Monday

The Lunch On Us children’s summer lunch program in Tipp City will get under way Monday, June 6.

Meals are served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Tipp City United Methodist Church, 8 W. Main St. Pick up locations will be marked with Lunch on Us signs.

Those locations are: Meadow Drive off Ginghamsburg-Frederick Road; Tweed Woods Park on Sequoia; Bellview Apartments off Maynard and Bellview; and Elas Court off Woodlawn Drive.

Evening concert series kicks off tonight

The Tipp City Community Night Summer Concert Series will kick off tonight with music by Cory Breth followed by the Finnigan-Denson Project.

The free music begins at 6:30 p.m. on North Second Street at Main Street.

This is the 25th year for the Community Night Summer Concert Series. Community Night is held the first Friday of the month June through September. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be canceled. For more information, call 937-667-3696. NANCY BOWMAN, CONTRIBUTING WRITER


WACO Air Museum summer season begins Friday

WACO Air Museum kicks off its summer season June 4 and 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at WACO Field, 1865 S. Co Rd 25A, Troy. The ever popular bi-plane rides signal the start of summer and the opportunity to feel the wind in your hair as you fly in an open cockpit over the Strawberry Festival.

WACO is again one of the Park N Ride locations, making it convenient to take a plane ride then leave your car and enjoy one of Ohio’s great festivals.
