The Fourth Annual Piqua Activity Day for children age preschool to sixth grade will be held Saturday at Lower Fountain Park. Hours will be 9 to 11 a.m. The event is free.
Among activities for the preschool group will be a water relay race, scavenger hunt, safari and run and jump.
For those age 6 and older, some of the activities will be water relay race, kick ball and hide and seek.
A healthy snack will be provided.

Canning classes offered at YWCA
The YWCA Piqua and Piqua Community Farmers Market will offer canning classes for food preservation.
The classes will be held at the YWCA Piqua, 418 N. Wayne St. The first will be July 21 at 7 p.m. when Tina Burns will demonstrate the technique to can green beans.
The second class will be Sept. 1 when Pam Weldy will demonstrate how to can tomatoes and salsas using the hot water bath canning method.
The classes will last about one hour and cost $10.
