You may soon be able to enjoy a cocktail while watching a film at a local movie theater.
The Historic Plaza Theatre in downtown Miamisburg has applied for a D2 liquor permit, which would allow it to serve beer, wine and mixed drinks.
The move by the classic movie house at 33 S. Main St. would also allow it to sell it carryout orders, Miamisburg Police Chief John Sedlak said. The Miamisburg City Council signed off on the issue this week.
The theater initially opened on Christmas Day 1919 before closing its doors in the late 1960s. It reopened Christmas Day in 2015, showing films Thursday through Sunday. For more information, call (937) 247-5980 or check out its facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/myplazatheatre/
