A 76-year-old Michigan man and his passenger remain in jail Friday night on felony marijuana possession charges following a traffic stop in northern Ohio on Friday.
Sidney Starr Harris, of Pontiac, and James Gregory Evans Jr., 48, of Detroit, were arrested after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said they detected an odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle Harris and Evans were in on I-75 in Hancock County.
Troopers stopped the Lincoln Continental for a license plate violation.
The odor led to a probable cause vehicle search that turned up a scale, 13 pounds of marijuana and 22 vials of THC oil worth an estimated $32,355, according to the state patrol.
