Dayton has only seen .6" this January, which is well below the average snowfall of about 7 inches. The least snowy January was set back in 1944 when absolutely no snow fell at the airport.
What about February?
We will likely stay warmer for the first two weeks of February. This doesn't mean we won't get colder or have snow. An active weather pattern looks to continue so we will have to wait and see if the moisture will time out with the colder air. Some signals are showing a possibility for a colder snap towards the middle of the month.
