Missing Kettering boy found safe

UPDATE @ 6:33 p.m.

A child that was reported missing in Kettering has been found safe, according to officials.

The 10-year-old boy was located just before 6:30 p.m.

Kettering police are asking for the public’s help to find a 10-year-old boy with special needs who has been missing since Tuesday afternoon.

Joseph “Joey” Markland, 10, was last seen around 2:20 p.m. Tuesday in the area of State Farm Park in Kettering. He is believed to be on foot and may be in the area of Woodman and Vale.

The boy is 4 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 65 pounds. He is wearing a red shirt with white print, dark blue shorts and black shoes, according to officials.
