Missing Miamisburg teen found in Florida

UPDATE @ 8:00 a.m. (Sept. 21):

Miamisburg police said Sam Estep was located by authorities in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Estep was safe and has been turned over to his parents.

UPDATE @ 10:23 a.m. (Sept. 15)

The missing Miamisburg teenager is in Atlanta, Ga., said Miamisburg police Detective Michael Aiken.

Sam Estep arrived in Atlanta sometime Tuesday after leaving his home that morning.

Aiken said the boy is not in any immediate danger and is alone.

UPDATE @ 1:18 p.m. (Sept. 14)

The missing Miamisburg teen is a current student at Bishop Fenwick High School in Warren County, confirms Robin Blank, school spokeswoman. Sam Estep, 16, is a junior at the school and a current football player.

UPDATE @ 11:04 a.m. (Sept. 14)

Miamisburg police Detective Michael Aiken said Sam Estep is still missing as of 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Estep did not attend school Tuesday, and last left his house in his parent’s vehicle.

“We don’t suspect anything suspicious,” Aiken said. “We don’t think he’s in any grave danger.”

Miamisburg police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 16-year-old teen.

Sam Estep was last seen Tuesday morning around 7:45 a.m. in Miamisburg in a black Ford Focus wearing a black T-shirt and basketball shorts.

Anyone with information on Estep’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Miamisburg Police Department at 937-225-4357.
