The officer spotted the driver violating a traffic law and attempted to pull the driver over, said Sgt. Andy Parish with Moraine police.
Parish said the driver drove onto I-75 north and exited the highway at Edwin C. Moses Boulevard, which is where the officer lost control of his cruiser at the bottom of the exit ramp.
The driver who was fleeing got away and no arrests have been made.
