Power restored to most DP&L customers after more than 3K outages last night

More than 3,000 Dayton Power & Light customers were in the dark last night after a strong storm moved through.

At its peak, there were more than 3,250 outages in northern Montgomery County, the DP&L online outage map showed.

By 11 p.m., the number of outages was reduced to 1,754 in Montgomery County and one each in Greene and Warren counties.

As of 12:16 a.m., only 24 customers were without power in a series of small independent outages. 20 customers were in Montgomery County, with one outage each in Greene, Warren, Mercer and Fayette counties.

Service is expected to be restored at various times throughout the early hours of the morning, ranging from as early as 12:30 a.m. and as late as 6 a.m.
