James Sarver had slowed to a stop in traffic on 121 north, waiting for traffic to clear so he could turn onto Harter Road about 4:42 p.m. when a Buick Le Sabre struck his Honda Silver Wing from behind.

The collision ejected the New Madison man, the sheriff's office said. He was taken to Wayne Hospital and was reportedly in stable condition, according to the sheriff's office statement on the incident.

The sheriff’s office did not say whether Sarver was wearing a helmet.

Kimberly Stigler, 48, of Greenville, apparently failed to see that Sarver had stopped, according to the statement. She was not injured.
