National Museum of the U.S. Air Force open today

As furloughed civilian workers return to work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the site's popular tourist attraction has also reopened.

The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, 1100 Spaatz St., resumed business at 9 a.m.

The museum was closed Oct. 8 amid the government shutdown, losing six-days worth of visitors. It is normally open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fall Home School Day, which was originally scheduled for today, will be rescheduled for another date.
