Need food assistance? Miami County Public Health releases list of food pantries

Many people for the first time are facing difficulties getting their basic needs met as an effect of the coronavirus.

Miami County Public Health on Monday released a list of organizations available to county residents in need of food assistance during this challenging time.

They include:

First Place Food Pantry, 721 Lincoln Ave., Troy. 937-335-2826
Hours 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday; 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Friday.

Needy Basket, 330 S. Fifth St., Tipp City, 937-667-1977
Hours: 10 a.m. to noon Monday and Wednesday; 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

New Path Outreach, 7695 S. County Road 25A, Tipp City, 937-669-1213.
Hours: 6 to 7 p.m. Monday; 2 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

Hours: 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday

Bethany Center, 339 South St., Piqua. 937-615-9762.
Hours: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday

Hours: 9:15 to 9:30 a.m. Monday through Friday

Richards Chapel, 931 McKaig, Troy.
Hours: Noon to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

St. Pat's Soup Kitchen, 25 N. Mulberry St., Troy.
Hours: 5 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Troy First United Methodist Church, 16 W. Franklin St., Troy.
Hours: 8:30 to 10 a.m. Sunday.

Lincoln Center, 110 Ash St. Troy. (Youth lunches and breakfasts)
Hours: Noon to 12:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Hours: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday - snack bags and water; Tuesdays - call if did not get a school bag; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday - pick up a weekend bag.
