Neighborhood door tags a new service started by Miami Twp. police

The Miami Township Police Department has started a new service to help curb neighborhood nuisances.

Officers are putting green door tags at addresses while checking out a reported issue, according to the department’s Facebook page.

The tags alert residents to possible safety concerns, code violations or neighborhood issues. Actions that may have prompted the tag include:

•A barking dog

•A junk vehicle needing to be removed

•A parking violation

•A basketball hoop violation

•An open garage door

For questions, call Miami Twp. police at 937-433-2301 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
