One person was taken to the hospital after a crash on Interstate 675 this morning.
Officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol say the two-vehicle accident happened when one car crossed the median and hit another.
Beavercreek Township emergency crews were dispatched at 9:15 a.m. to I-675 northbound in Beavercreek, just north of North Fairfield Road, on reports of a possible head-on collision.
On scene, investigators found one car on the roadway and another in the woods nearby. Fire fighters used ropes to pull that vehicle out of the woods and had to remove the driver, who had become trapped.
That person was the only one transported to the hospital following the wreck, according to investigators.
Preliminary findings show that one car was heading southbound on I-675 when they crossed the median and hit a car on the northbound side.
Steady rain was coming down in the area at the time of the accident and as crews cleaned up on the busy interstate.
OSP investigators say a citation will likely be issued but couldn't yet provide additional information.
