Police: Pedestrian hit by car in Huber Heights suffers severe head injury

UPDATE @ 3:05 a.m. (July 13): Police are continuing their investigation of a pedestrian accident on Brandt Pike (state Route 201) that sent a man to Miami Valley Hospital suffering from a severe head injury.

Police have not released the name, age or address of the man who walked into the path of a car in the 6500 block of Brandt, not far from Chambersburg Road, about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Huber Heights Sgt. Brad Reaman said.

According to the preliminary investigation, the man wore dark clothing and was not in a marked crosswalk.

“I’m not sure what his status is,” the sergeant said in reference to the man’s condition.

The driver of the car apparently was not injured.

There are no street lights in the area of the accident.
